Black Bush Caviste Special Edition is a blended Irish whiskey from Bushmills, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It contains at least 80% Bushmills single malt, which is triple distilled and matured for seven to nine years in sherry casks before being married with grain whiskey. Bourbon and Oloso sherry casks are used in the maturation, and the malt rests mainly in Spanish oak that held oloroso. It is chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The nose combines sweet malt, sherry and raisins with caramel toffee, roasted almonds and brown sugar. The palate brings wild berries, rum raisins, cocoa, date and cinnamon on a soft, full texture. The finish is long and malty, with dried fruit, forest honey and allspice.
