Bushmills Original is a triple-distilled blend of single malt and grain Irish whiskey in a 750ml bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. It is made at the Old Bushmills Distillery on the Antrim coast, established in 1784.
The single malt is made entirely from malted barley and is blended with lighter grain whiskey. The blend matures for a minimum of three years in ex-bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose is light orchard fruit and honey with soft vanilla and a little warm spice. The palate is creamy, with caramel, green apple, dried fruit and light cinnamon. The finish is crisp and moderate in length, with oak and baking spice.
