Bushmills Original is a blended Irish whiskey from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It combines the distillery's triple-distilled single malt with a lighter grain whiskey.
It is matured in bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, and the brand dates the recipe to before Prohibition.
The colour is pale gold. The nose is light, fruity and spicy, with vanilla developing towards vanilla ice cream and crème brûlée. The palate is gently warming with a touch of honey sweetness, and the finish is crisp and fresh with a hint of spice.
