Bushmills Private Reserve 10 Year Old Bordeaux Cask is a limited-edition Irish single malt from the Old Bushmills Distillery in County Antrim, bottled at 46.5% ABV and non-chill filtered.
It spends around six years in American bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, then a minimum of four years finishing in first-fill Pomerol Bordeaux wine casks.
The nose is roasted wood, red currants and ripe raspberries with a little malt sweetness and vanilla. The palate runs from green apple, lemon peel and vanilla to dried fruit, nutmeg and ginger, with gentle currant. The finish is long and dry, with citrus zest and oak.
