Bushmills Rum Cask – Steamship Collection (2018) (70cl, 40%)

This is an Irish single malt from Bushmills, triple distilled and bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Steamship Collection, which pays tribute to the SS Bushmills, the ship that sailed to the Caribbean in 1895. The whiskey was matured entirely in first-fill Caribbean rum casks. It comes in a presentation case. The nose has soft rum notes, vanilla, honey and tropical fruit. On the palate it is creamy and round, with brown sugar, ripe banana, light spice and caramel. The finish is long and soft, with sweet rum notes and a hint of coffee.
