Bushmills 10 Year Old is a triple-distilled Irish single malt, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It comes from the Old Bushmills Distillery on the north coast of County Antrim, which holds a licence dating back to 1608.
The whisky is made from malted barley and matured for a minimum of ten years in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks before vatting and bottling.
The nose is fresh and zesty, with honey, ripe tropical fruit, vanilla and milk chocolate. On the palate, soft vanilla and melted milk chocolate give way to dried apricot, malted barley and toasty oak, with a tart apple note. The finish is crisp and clean, with honey and a little oak spice.
