A Barbera from Ca' Bianca, produced in the Asti area of Piedmont. It is deep ruby red with violet hints. The nose offers intense aromas of ripe red fruits, cherry and plum, with spice notes and a light touch of oak from ageing in barrique. On the palate it is robust yet harmonious, with present but soft tannins and the fresh acidity typical of Barbera. Mature fruit and spice flavours lead to a slightly toasted finish. It pairs with red meats, game, aged cheeses and rich dishes, and also suits slow sipping.
