This is a 15 year old Speyside single malt from Aultmore, bottled by Wm Cadenhead at 46%. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in August 2026.
Since 2022 the whisky has been finishing in fresh Manzanilla sherry hogsheads. Manzanilla adds freshness, nuts and a light salty note rather than the heavy sweetness of other sherry styles.
The nose is nectarine, orange liqueur and sweet macaroon, with almonds and a light salted Manzanilla note. The palate offers caramelised sugar, stroopwafel, warming ginger and juicy peach. The finish is warm, with syrup and cinnamon, butter and cocoa, and a touch of smoked paprika.
