Cadenhead's Bunnahabhain 10 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

This is a ten-year-old Bunnahabhain from Cadenhead's Original Collection, showing the peated side of the Islay distillery. The single malt was distilled in 2013, matured in bourbon casks and bottled in May 2024 at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It has its natural colour and is not chill-filtered. Savoury smoke, smoked bacon, sea salt and a hint of cullen skink, the Scottish smoked fish soup, give it its character. The nose is crisp smoked bacon, sea salt and savoury peat smoke. The palate brings strong smoke with a savoury cullen skink note and fresh mint leaves. In the finish the maritime impressions remain, joined by creamy sweetness and smoked tofu.
