Cadenhead's Enigma is an 11-year-old Lowland single malt, bottled by WM Cadenhead, which describes itself as Scotland's oldest independent bottler. It was distilled in 2013 and is bottled at 57.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle, non-chill filtered and with no added colouring.
It matured in refill Oloroso casks, and the outturn was 1,590 bottles. The character is fruity, floral and spicy, with a hint of peat.
The nose offers orchard fruits, honeyed malt and dried spices. The palate has vanilla, caramelised nuts, citrus zest and subtle peat smoke. The finish is long and warming, with oak, dark chocolate and dried fruit.
