Cadenhead's Enigma 27 Year Old Blended Malt Scotch Whisky BM.2.A. (70cl, 51.8%)

This is a 27 year old blended malt from Cadenhead's, bottled at a cask strength of 51.8% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is a teaspooned whisky: a tiny amount of malt from a second distillery is added to a malt from one distillery that makes up most of the blend. The whisky was distilled in 1997, matured in bourbon hogsheads and bottled in 2024. The outturn was 1,140 bottles, without chill-filtration or added colour. The nose offers pear and cinnamon with warm pastry, vanilla cream biscuits and butterscotch mousse. The palate brings sweet oat biscuits and honeycomb together with nutmeg and gooseberry. The finish combines mint leaves and white grapes with dark sugar syrup and ginger.
