Cadenhead's Enigma Lowland 10 Year Old Single Malt LOW.1.A (70cl, 56.4%)

This is a 10-year-old Lowland single malt from Cadenhead's Enigma range, in which the distillery is not named. Edition LOW.1.A was distilled in 2013, matured in a bourbon hogshead and bottled in November 2023 at 56.4%. The hogshead gave 342 bottles of 70cl, with no added colouring and no chill-filtering. It is described as lively and citrussy with a soft, creamy texture, recalling New York cheesecake and lime tart. The nose offers gooseberries, lemon zest and icing sugar sweetness. On the palate come cheesecake, digestive biscuits and lime juice. The finish carries rye bread, Brazil nuts and white grapes.
