Cadenhead's Original Collection Burnside 28 Year Old (70cl, 46%)

Burnside 28 Year Old is a Speyside blended malt Scotch whisky bottled independently by William Cadenhead in its Original Collection. It is a teaspooned malt, traditionally made mostly from Balvenie with a small amount of Glenfiddich, which is why it is sold as a blended malt rather than a single malt. It was aged for 28 years and bottled at 46% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The nose offers ripe apples, pears and tropical fruit with honey, vanilla and mature oak. The palate is creamy and rounded, with orchard fruit, honeyed malt, soft citrus and warming oak spice. The finish is long and mellow, with fruit, honey, gentle spice and oak.
