This is a single grain whisky from the Caledonian Distillery in the Lowlands, distilled in 1974 and aged for 48 years in a single refill hogshead. It was bottled in October 2022 at 48.6% ABV, without chill-filtration, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose brings Fruit Salad sweets, orange oil, Turkish Delight-style florals, caramel, buttered pancakes and cookie dough. On the palate come pecan pie, chocolate ice cream, earthy vanilla, buttered toast, browning apples and old oak, ending on toffee popcorn and cinnamon.
