A French calvados from the Pays d'Auge in Normandy, distilled from a careful selection of apples grown in local orchards.
Long ageing in oak casks gives it aromatic complexity and an elegant, velvety structure. On the nose there are intense notes of cooked apple, vanilla, delicate spices and a light toasted wood note.
On the palate it shows perfect harmony, with fruity sweetness intertwined with a subtle spicy note and pleasant softness. The finish is long and persistent, suited to slow tasting after a meal or with refined desserts and blue cheeses.
