Mysteries of the Wee Toon is a six-year-old Campbeltown blended malt from Brave New Spirits, an independent bottler and blender based in Glasgow. It belongs to the Cask Noir series and is not attributed to a single distillery.
The whisky matured from March 2016 to August 2022 in a first-fill bourbon cask, number 214, before 262 bottles were filled at 59.2% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The nose brings tropical fruit, citrus and acetone, with damp grass, milk chocolate and a trace of salt. The palate opens dense and sweet, then turns dry and spicy, with pineapple, mango, ginger, honey, cinnamon and cloves. The finish stays dry and spicy, with a little salted lemon.
