Campbeltown Journey is a blended malt Scotch whisky from Hunter Laing, in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Journey Series, which takes the character of different Scottish whisky regions as its theme. This one is made from single malts from Campbeltown distilleries on the Kintyre peninsula, with no grain whisky in the blend.
It is a small batch bottling at 46% ABV, after at least three years in ex-bourbon American oak.
The nose is fresh and fruity, with pineapple, orange, honeysuckle and vanilla. On the palate it is clean, soft and sweet, with lemon meringue pie, honey and vanilla, and gentle oak in the background. The finish is medium and sweet.
