This is a Canadian Club whisky from the 1990s, bottled at 40% ABV.
The nose combines liquorice and fennel, with a rye character, alongside apple, caramel, cut grass and straw. The palate is sweet and mellow, led by caramel, brown sugar and vanilla, with gentle rye spice in the form of nutmeg and cinnamon. The body is light.
The finish is of medium length, fading softly with lingering caramel and a hint of sour rye.
