This Caol Ila is a 10-year-old Islay single malt, matured in an STR hogshead and bottled at a cask strength of 58.3%. It forms part of the eighth release of Claxton's Warehouse #1 Series and comes in a 70cl bottle.
An STR hogshead is made from a former red wine cask that has been scraped, toasted and re-charred before being used again for maturation.
