This is an 11 year old Islay single malt from the Caol Ila distillery, distilled in 2014 and bottled in 2025 by the independent bottler Murray McDavid. It comes from the Mystical Malt Creatures series and is a single cask bottling, cask number 2100641.
The whisky matured in a first fill Madeira barrique, which adds influence from the wine cask to the distillery's markedly peaty, maritime character. It is bottled at 56.3% abv, without colouring and without chill-filtration.
