Caol Ila Distillers Edition is a single malt Scotch whisky distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2006. It was matured first in traditional oak casks and then finished in Moscatel sherry casks, giving added depth and complexity. The whisky is bottled at 43% vol in a 70cl bottle.
On the nose there is a harmonious combination of peat smoke and sweet fruit notes. The palate brings a smoky character with hints of malt and spice, while the finish is long and complex, with smoke and sweetness in balance.
