This is an 11 year old Caol Ila from Islay, bottled by Murray McDavid for its Benchmark collection. It was distilled in 2014, finished in Madeira wine barriques and bottled in 2026 at 56.5% ABV. The Madeira finish brings ripe stone fruit, caramelised citrus, dried fruits, honey and warming spice. Beneath it the spirit keeps its coastal smoke, sea salt, lemon and gentle ash, giving a balance between sweet wine richness and Islay peat.
