Caol Ila 12 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky from Islay, in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It is the entry level bottling from the distillery and was launched in June 2002.
The whisky is light and fresh, with the distinctive Caol Ila smoke.
The nose is herbal, with rubbed peppermint leaves, damp grass, cigar leaves, smoked ham and lemon peel. The palate is oily with tar and elegant smoke, and the finish is long, peppery and smoky.
