This is a 15 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2026 for the Gordon & MacPhail Spirit of Scotland range. It comes from a single first fill sherry hogshead, with 266 bottles drawn from the cask, at 53.7%. The colour is dark gold.
The nose combines vanilla fudge, spiced fruitcake, ginger and orange. On the palate come milk chocolate, toasted malt and smouldering ashes, then sweet smoke with fruitcake, raspberry and tangerine, and spicy aniseed before charred oak. The finish is smoky, with lingering apple.
