This Caol Ila was distilled in 2010 and finished in Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. Berry Bros. & Rudd bottled it at 57% for the London Showcase 2024.
The nose is restrained and balanced, with green apples and raisins over light smoke that emerges gradually. Smoke and stewed fruit arrive on the palate, where the early sweetness is offset by a firm smoky note. The finish keeps to these flavours, with a savoury, almost umami edge.
