A single malt from Caol Ila on Islay, distilled in 2018 and bottled by James Eadie at 8 years old and 48.3%, in a 70cl bottle. It spent six months finishing in Palo Cortado sherry hogsheads, which add a dry, nutty note without overpowering the bright citrus and maritime character.
Expect coastal peat smoke, lemon zest and sea spray with dry nuttiness, then a clean, briny finish with gentle spice, ash and lingering oak.
