This is an 8 year old Islay single malt from Caol Ila, bottled in a limited run at 50.1% abv for the Genießertag 2017.
It belongs to the Schinderhannes Edition. The robber captain appeared on the label of the first bottling and his wife Julchen on the second. This release shows his companion Scheeler Franz.
The whisky is fruity and maritime, with a clear note of peat smoke. These flavours carry into the finish and fade slowly.
