Caol Ila – Lord of Islay (46.9%)

This is a single cask Islay single malt from the Caol Ila distillery, bottled at 46.9% as part of the white label series within the Lord Selection range. In this series each whisky is bottled at the strength that suits it best. The nose is soft and round, with sweet aromas, confectionery and a little cinnamon working through the peat. On the palate, sweet fruit, apple, hints of marzipan and glazed cherries sit around a smoky character. The finish is smoky and long.
