This is a 24 year old Caperdonich single malt from Speyside, distilled in October 1980 and bottled in April 2005 by Dewar Rattray. It matured in a bourbon cask and was bottled at 52.7% ABV, with 166 bottles produced. Caperdonich was built across the road from Glen Grant in 1898 and was known for a time as Glen Grant No.2. The nose is woody, mainly vanilla, with melon and guava, sweet honey and background cinnamon and nutmeg. On the palate, fresh fruit with a slight kiwi-like acidity and sweetness sits over walnut and cocoa. Water brings more balance and a greater presence of coconut and vanilla.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
