A single cask Caperdonich from Speyside, distilled in May 1996 and bottled in December 2022 at a cask strength of 55.2%. It was matured for 26 years in a single bourbon hogshead, which gave 170 bottles.
It is part of Blackadder's Raw Cask series, so it has not been filtered at all and may contain harmless cask sediment. It is also Statement Edition #58, from a series the bottler describes as single cask, minimal intervention and the fullest expression of cask and distillate.
Caperdonich was built in 1898 across the road from Glen Grant and was known for a time as Glen Grant No.2.
