Cardhu 11 Year Old is a Speyside single malt bottled at its natural strength of 56% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It was added to the Rare By Nature line in 2020.
The whisky was aged in new and ex-bourbon American oak hogsheads together with refill casks. The distillery's history is said to reach back to before distilling was legal.
The texture is creamy, with juicy fruit, buttery toffee, chilli spice and fresh bread. A drop of water brings out the sweet, buttery side and softens the heat.
