This is an 11 year old single malt from Cardhu, released as part of Diageo's 2020 Special Releases collection. It was matured entirely in refill American oak casks and is bottled at natural cask strength.
On the nose there are poached pear, orchard apple, honeycomb and soft vanilla, with citrus peel and a hint of grassy freshness. The palate is light and silky, with fresh fruit, creamy toffee, lemon sherbet and soft oak spice, plus a touch of nutmeg and malted barley.
The finish is clean and gently warming, with vanilla fudge, green apple and soft pepper.
