Cardhu 11 Year Old Special Release 2020 is a single malt from the Diageo Special Release range. It was distilled in 2008 and is bottled at 56% abv in a 70cl bottle.
The colour is pale gold. On the nose there are green apple, green grape and pineapple over a faintly mossy base, with a hint of new wood, and a drop of water brings out boiled fruit sweets. The palate is creamy and sweet, buttery and spicy, recalling toasted hot-cross buns. The finish is quite long, with white pepper and a lingering warmth.
