This is an 11 year old Speyside single malt from Cardhu, released in 2020 as part of the Diageo Special Releases, in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition.
The whisky matured in a mix of refill casks and fresh-charred American oak bourbon hogsheads.
The nose brings fresh pear, green apple, white grape and pineapple, lifted by lemon peel. The palate is smooth and buttery, with a sweet, juicy centre, a creamy texture and gentle oak spice. The finish is warming and spicy, with a soft, lingering sweetness.
