An 18 year old Cardhu single malt, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It opens slowly and is rich in body while keeping a delicate Cardhu character.
The nose is fresh, with macerated pears, plums and cherries, and hints of pineapple that add a light, green, gooseberry-like edge. The palate is smooth and sweet with lively acidity and a soft, fruity core edged with chocolate, and it is warming overall.
The finish is long and gently drying, complex and rich in cocoa.
