Carmenere Colli Euganei DOC - Fasolo

A red wine from the Colli Euganei volcanic hills, made from Carmenere by Fasolo. It has an intense, almost ruby colour and a complex, enveloping aroma. On the nose there are black pepper and clove spice, ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit, and green pepper notes. On the palate it is robust and well balanced, with acidity matched by soft but persistent tannin and a long, pleasantly aromatic finish. It suits red meat, game dishes and aged cheeses.
