Càrn Mòr Ruadh Maor Glenturret 11 Year Old 2011 Limited

This is an 11 year old Highland single malt from Glenturret, distilled in 2011 and matured in refill sherry hogsheads. It was bottled in 2022 for Càrn Mòr's Strictly Limited series, in an outturn of 1,473 bottles, without chill-filtering or added colour. Ruadh Maor is Glenturret's heavily peated style, at around 80ppm. The nose balances smoky notes with sweet touches of barley and a faint hint of sherry. The palate is soft and complex, with fresh malted barley, a sweet centre and pronounced peat smoke. The finish is long and lingering, lightly smoky, with warming spice.
