Casa San Matías Gran Reserva Extra Añejo Tequila

This is an Extra Añejo tequila from Casa San Matías, a distillery that describes itself as one of the oldest in Mexico and funded by wholly Mexican capital. It has a bright amber colour with orange highlights and strong copper hues. The aroma combines wood with dried fruit, notably apple and sweet pear. On the palate come chocolate and vanilla, almonds and roasted hazelnut, followed by a long finish of sweet, ripe fruit.
