This is a wheated Kentucky straight bourbon from Casey Jones Distillery in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. It is made from four grains: Bloody Butcher corn, yellow dent corn, Kentucky soft wheat and malted barley. The wheat-forward mashbill gives a soft, rounded style, and the bourbon is matured in heavily charred white oak.
The nose is honeyed, with delicate clove, sweet grain and subtle toasted oak. The palate is soft and smooth, with honey, sweet tea, caramel and gentle oak spice. The finish is smooth and lingering, with caramel malt, toasted grain and warming spice.
