Cask Speyside 12 Years Sherry Cask Finish A.D. Rattray

A 12 year old Speyside single malt bottled by the independent bottler A.D. Rattray, founded in 1868 by Andrew Dewar and William Rattray. The whisky first matured in bourbon casks and was then finished in sherry casks before bottling at 12 years old. The exact Speyside distillery is not named. The malt is marked by spiced berry fruit. The nose offers Bakewell tart, berry jam and apple crumble. The palate follows with frangipane, spiced plum and orange crumble cake, and the finish brings blackberry fruit and baking spices.
