The Glenlivet 12 Year Old Provence Edition - Beyond Speyside Series (75cl, 40%)

This is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from The Glenlivet, the second release in its Beyond Speyside series after the Jamaica Edition. It comes in a 75cl bottle at 40% ABV and is a limited edition. A portion of the whisky was finished in French sweet wine casks and in Provence Cru Classé wine casks from Château Sainte Marguerite, which makes it the first Glenlivet finished in French white wine casks. The nose offers white peaches in syrup, toasted almonds and floral meadow aromas. On the palate come sweet, juicy nectarines, vanilla crème brûlée, marzipan and white chocolate, followed by a smooth finish of warm floral honey.
