The Glenlivet Founder's Reserve is named after the distillery's founder, George Smith. This American Oak Selection is bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle and has a pale gold colour.
Some of the whisky is matured in first-fill American oak, alongside traditional oak casks. The American oak adds a hint of creamy sweetness to the creamy, fruity Glenlivet character.
The nose is citrus fruit and sweet orange. On the palate there is zesty orange, pear and toffee apple, and the finish is long, creamy and smooth.
