This is Macallan's 12 Year Old from the Sherry Oak range, bottled at 40% ABV in a 75cl bottle.
It matured entirely in sherry-seasoned oak casks from Jerez, which gives the dried fruit and marmalade character associated with a sherried Macallan.
The nose is crisp and sweet, with sultanas, apple blossom and a defined floral note, then hints of sherry, calvados, tropical fruit and golden syrup. The palate is medium-bodied and firm, with hot pastries, marmalade and peel. The finish is of good length with a solid oak note.
