The second edition in Macallan's limited annual Harmony Collection, a Speyside single malt bottled at 44% in a 75cl bottle.
It is inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica bean, the first coffee species to be cultivated, and Ethiopia is often claimed as the birthplace of coffee. The whisky is meant to suit pairing with coffee.
The nose offers tiramisu, cappuccino, gingerbread, raisins, almonds, sweet oak and vanilla. On the palate come espresso, dark chocolate, raisins, tiramisu, blackberry, vanilla, Brazil nut and sweet oak. The finish is long, with dark roast coffee, balanced and sweet.
