A Chianti Classico DOCG from Castello Vicchiomaggio, made mainly from Sangiovese grown in the hills of Greve in Chianti. Ageing takes place mainly in oak barrels, adding aromatic complexity and a pleasant softness. The nose shows ripe red fruits such as cherry and plum, with spicy and slightly balsamic notes. On the palate it is balanced, with refined tannins and lively acidity. It suits Tuscan dishes such as ribollita or bistecca alla fiorentina, as well as aged cheeses.
