A single cask Chichibu from 2015, matured in a bourbon barrel and bottled as one of 183 bottles for Chichibu Day 2022 in Taiwan. It is a Japanese single malt from the distillery in Saitama Prefecture, in a 70cl bottle.
The label shows the floats of the Chichibu Festival, which parade by day and by night. The festival has a history of more than 300 years and is among the largest in the Kanto region.
Honey, vanilla ice cream and peach lead the aroma. Caramel, biscuit and citrus follow on the palate, and the long finish brings warm spices, bitter dark chocolate and rum-like sugarcane.
