Island Rooster is a Kentucky straight rye whiskey from Chicken Cock, finished in rum casks. It is a limited edition.
The idea came from a trip to the Caribbean. 25 barrels of the distillers' Signature Kentucky Straight Rye were moved into Caribbean rum casks to finish, and the bottle comes in 75cl.
The spiciness of the rye sits alongside candied molasses notes from the rum barrels.
