Chioccioli Florentis Super Tuscan Wine Cask Tuscan Malt Italian Whisky (70cl)

Florentis is an Italian whisky from the Chioccioli Altadonna family, said to be the first distilled in the Chianti Classico region. It is made from Italian malted barley, rye and wheat, fermented for six days in 700-litre terracotta amphorae with native yeasts, then distilled in a custom-made Frilli copper pot still. The spirit is aged for roughly three to four years in French oak barriques that previously held the family's Super Tuscan wine. The nose shows rye spice, ginger and nutmeg. On the palate are stewed pear, honey and toasted walnuts, followed by a silky, persistent finish.
