Chita – Single Grain Whisky (70cl, 43%)

Chita is a single grain whisky from Suntory, made at the Chita distillery on the Chita Peninsula in Aichi, Japan. It is bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. The blenders drew on grain whiskies of different maturity, including spirit aged in bourbon, Spanish oak and red wine casks. The distillery was founded in 1972, and its grain whisky has long been part of the Hibiki blend. Tasting notes describe crème caramel, cardamom, acacia honey and rose on the nose, a smooth palate with a touch of mint and deep honey, and a clean, bright finish of spiced oak with a bittersweet edge.
