Claxton's The Red Comyn 12 Year Old Single Malt Whisky Ruby Port Cask Finish

The Red Comyn is a 12 year old single malt whisky from Claxton's, finished in Ruby Port casks. The name comes from the heritage of the Dalswinton Estate, where the castle of Comyn once stood. The castle was abandoned after Dalswinton House was built in the 17th century, and its remains seem to have been taken down after 1792. The bottling nods to the story of John the Red Comyn and his link with the estate, a tale of sabotage, murder and a notorious struggle for power, much of it lost to folklore.
